Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Klare processes personal data when you visit our website, register or sign in to Klare App, purchase lifetime access, contact us, or use connected analytics. Processing is subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable French data protection law.

1. Who is responsible for your data?

The controller for website, account, billing and support data is:

2. Signup, login and payment

Start now takes you to the signup form in Klare App, where you enter an email address and connect a TikTok account. We save the email when your new account is created after TikTok authorization. The email is contact and billing information; it is not a separate login method. Returning users choose Login and authenticate with their connected TikTok account, without re-entering an email or creating a Klare password.

We check your account's lifetime access after sign-in. If you do not have active access, we open Stripe Checkout. Stripe processes your payment and notifies Klare so that we can activate or update access. Manage subscription in the dashboard opens Stripe's customer portal for your linked billing account. The current lifetime offer is a one-time purchase.

3. Data we process

• Account: the email you provide, internal account ID, TikTok account identifier, display name, profile image, account creation dates and access role.
• Authentication: session identifiers and expiry dates, authorization and refresh tokens, granted permissions and temporary OAuth state used to complete signup or login. Session records may include an IP address and browser information. We do not receive your TikTok password.
• Billing: email sent to Stripe for Checkout, the Klare account reference, Stripe customer, Checkout and payment identifiers, plan and payment or refund status. Stripe collects payment details on its hosted pages; Klare does not store full card numbers or card security codes.
• TikTok analytics: authorized profile and publication data, including post identifiers, descriptions, dates, available video or carousel information, view counts and performance snapshots.
• PostHog: the project host, API key, project identifiers and names, and hourly aggregated website visit history retrieved through the connected API. Your PostHog project may itself contain personal data; Klare's traffic analysis uses hourly visit totals rather than individual visitor journeys.
• Derived analytics: rankings and estimates associating TikTok performance with changes in website traffic.
• Support and operations: your messages, contact details and technical request or error metadata needed to deliver and secure the Service.

Only connect accounts and projects you are entitled to share. Do not send unnecessary personal information or sensitive data in support messages.

4. Purposes and legal bases

• Create and authenticate your account, process your purchase, check lifetime access and provide billing support: performance of a contract or steps at your request before entering it (Article 6(1)(b)).
• Provide accounts, authorized integrations and analytics: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
• Respond to enquiries: steps at your request before a contract or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, as applicable.
• Maintain security and investigate misuse: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)), balanced against your rights.
• Meet legal requirements: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).

An email and TikTok authorization are required to register. Without them, we cannot create a new account. Payment is required for paid access. Connecting PostHog is needed for the corresponding traffic analysis. Registration and purchases do not constitute consent to unrelated marketing.

5. How connected data is used

A Python service performs mathematical and statistical operations on TikTok API and PostHog data to estimate which posts are associated with traffic to your SaaS. Correlation does not establish causation. Results depend on data quality and availability.

These insights support your business decisions. Klare does not use them to make solely automated decisions about individuals that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

6. Your visitors’ data

For personal data from your PostHog project processed on your behalf, you remain the controller and Klare acts as a processor under documented instructions. You are responsible for lawful collection, required notices and consent where applicable. A data processing agreement and the relevant processing details must be in place before this processing begins. Visitors should normally address rights requests to the SaaS operator whose website they used; Klare will assist as required.

7. Providers and disclosures

Hosting

• Marketing website: Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare serves the website through its distributed network; this does not mean that all website request data is processed in France or Canada.
• Klare App and its database: OVHcloud, Beauharnois (BHS), Quebec, Canada. Account and application data stored in this database is hosted in Canada.

Cloudflare processes website request data to deliver and secure the landing page. OVHcloud provides the infrastructure hosting Klare App and its database. Their privacy information is available fromCloudflare andOVHcloud.

TikTok supplies authentication and authorized account and publication data. PostHog supplies data from projects you connect. Stripe processes payments and hosts Checkout and the customer portal. These providers also process information under their own terms and privacy notices:TikTok,PostHog andStripe.

Authorized personnel and infrastructure providers may access information necessary to host, maintain and secure Klare. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or to handle a dispute. We do not sell personal data. For further information about processing arrangements applicable to your account, contact[email protected].

8. International transfers

Klare App and its database are hosted in Canada, outside the European Economic Area. Cloudflare's distributed network and the TikTok, PostHog and Stripe services may also involve processing in other countries, depending on the provider and your configuration.

International transfers must be covered by an applicable GDPR transfer mechanism. The EU adequacy decision for Canada applies only to recipients within its scope, not automatically to every transfer to Canada. Where an adequacy decision does not apply, appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses are required. 9. Retention and disconnection

We record the date of your last authenticated use of Klare or sign-in to manage account retention. A daily cleanup at midnight, Europe/Paris time, deletes accounts that have never paid and have been inactive for more than three years. Background collection of connected analytics does not count as user activity. If reliable activity history is unavailable for an existing account, the retention period starts when activity tracking is introduced.

Deleting an eligible account also removes its sessions, OAuth connections and stored credentials, PostHog connection and project data, website visit totals, TikTok publications and stored performance snapshots from Klare's active database. This does not delete your TikTok or PostHog account or data held by those providers.

Lifetime accounts and accounts with recorded purchases, including refunded purchases, are excluded from this automated cleanup so that paid access and payment history are not lost. Administrative owner accounts are also excluded. Requests to delete such accounts are handled separately, subject to necessary billing and legal retention. This cleanup does not erase Stripe records, support records, operational logs or backups; those remain subject to their respective retention purposes and applicable obligations. Session and temporary authentication records have expiry dates; expiry does not itself mean all stored account data has been deleted.

You may disconnect PostHog from the app, revoke TikTok authorization through TikTok, or request account and data deletion by emailing[email protected]. Revoking TikTok access prevents further authorized API access but does not automatically delete previously stored data. Necessary billing and transaction records may be retained to meet accounting obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Stripe also applies its own retention obligations. Deletion requests are assessed against these purposes and applicable legal exceptions.

10. Cookies and sessions

The landing page does not install analytics or advertising trackers. Klare App uses cookies and similar authentication mechanisms needed for TikTok OAuth, session security and keeping you signed in. TikTok and Stripe may use their own cookies or technologies on their hosted pages under their respective notices. Connecting a PostHog project to Klare is separate from tracking visitors on this marketing website. Consent will be requested before enabling non-essential trackers that require it.

11. Your rights

Where applicable, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, or object to processing. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact [email protected] to exercise your rights. We generally respond within one month, subject to permitted GDPR extensions. You may complain to the CNIL in France.

12. Security and updates

Access to personal data must be limited to authorized purposes and protected by appropriate technical and organizational measures. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. We will update this page when processing changes and give additional notice where required.
